BULGARIAN MUZZLELOADERS FEDERATION

THE BEGINNING

On 18.07.2026. the first tournament of the sports calendar for 2026 of the Bulgarian Muzzleloaders Federation was held. The tournament had educational and demonstration purposes. In addition to members of the sports clubs of the federation, guests from other shooting federations were also present. There were also spectators who wanted to enjoy the beauty of historical weapons and feel the specificity of this sport. Different types of weapons were shown, specifically for the given type of sport by discipline. The chairman of the federation - Hristofor Yonov demonstrated the specific use for each of them. An instructor from the federation explained in detail the rules of conduct and safety during tournaments and training. Due to the specificity, some of them were new and unknown even to experienced shooters. After all, this sport is just entering our country. The interest was great for both shooters and spectators. Since the tournament was a demonstration, there was no scoring and no medals were awarded.

Let us congratulate all members on the first shot and the first tournament of the Bulgarian Federation of Shooting with Muzzle Loaded Weapons! Let us wish each other successful development and many medals and achievements both at the national level and on the international shooting scene!
